When I'm not playing solo, I'm playing with these 3 awesome guys. Tom, Bryan and Spencer are the greatest and together we are
The Regina Sayles Project.

Tom Hopke - Lead Guitar
"Music has always been there for me," Tom Hopke says, "it's my heart and soul."
Tom picked up the guitar at the early age of 7. Since then, he has performed at numerous NYC venues including The Bitter End, CBGB’s, The Village Underground, Le Bar Bat, The Cutting Room,
and BB King’s Blues Lounge.
In 2006 Tom released his first EP "These City Streets," but he is now working on the songs that he hopes will become his debut album. "I have found my band now," he says, "in 2008 we're hoping
to really make an impact."
While Tom isn't writing and performing with his own band or with the Regina Sayles Project, he also plays lead guitar for Dandelion Wine, Julia Wilde, and Jennifer Newman. In the last year,
Tom has appeared on six albums and counting.
Bryan Spitzer - Bass
Bryan Douglas Spitzer was born and raised in Rockland County, New York. He started playing the drums when he was 9 and continued his studies in school until his senior year of high school. He began playing the bass at age thirteen. He has no formal training however; years of drumming helped him pick up the bass pretty quickly. He has been lucky enough to have played with some awesome people throughout his years, and he hopes to encounter many more in the years to come. His likes are mini horses, H2O, 2 way mirrors, riding his bicycle, American Gladiators, and funk. His dislikes are people who suck their teeth, 1ply toilet paper, and bad ethics. He doesn’t drink coffee or smoke cigarettes. He has a weakness for Taco Bell and he loves a deep dirty groove. He has played the bass for 12 years. He plays a 5 string Warwick Corvette and a 4 string Fender jazz bass out of an Ampeg svt-4pro and matching 4x10 cab. “I love music with an obsessive passion and I love Regina Sayles!”
Spencer Cohen - Drums
Percussionist and Zen Percussion founder Spencer Cohen is a native New Yorker and a versatile player on the scene today. Spencer is a recent graduate of New York University’s Music Education Program (with a focus in percussion and jazz studies). Spencer has had the privilege to perform at some of the most distinguished New York venues including the Theater at Madison Square Garden, Shea stadium, Irving Plaza as well as various rock clubs throughout the boroughs. He has performed alongside such greats as Lenny Pickett (SNL), Sherrie Maricle (DIVA jazz orchestra), Javier Diaz (Rumbero, Broadway percussionist), Michael Hinton (Rumbero, Liza Minelli, Broadway, Drummer to the Pope) and many others. Spencer also enjoys performing in various rock and funk bands, Afro-Cuban rumbas, and Broadway musicals. As a teacher Spencer has had the opportunity to develop through the New York Pops Teaching Artist program.
